[New white flowers] Just north-west of the storm water settling pond at the south part of the trail, there are a number of shrubby plants currently in bloom.

In addition to the Red-osier Dogwood previously mentioned on today's walk, there are several Lilac bushes and the one in the picture which, as you can see, is just beginning to open. I'm not sure what it is. Can anyone tell me?
